About Tidy Towns
Tidy Towns Clean Beaches is our flagship program.
Our accreditation & awards program aims to recognise and reward hard work occurring in communities across Queensland.
The refreshed and adjusted Tidy Towns Clean Beaches accreditation & awards program (after undergoing many changes over the years since its inception in 1974), now better reflects the comprehensive approach that has been a part of the Tidy Towns ethos for many years.

Be Acknowledge by the Community
The change to include an accreditation component to program means that all communities, not just ‘award’ winning towns and beaches receive recognition for their efforts through promotion on an honour roll, in the new Tidy Towns Queensland Passport (travel guide), through roadside signage (for installation at each entry to your town) and through promotion on the TidyTowns.com.au QLD directory.
Queensland’s Tidiest Town, Queensland’s Friendliest Town and award category winners will be decided by a panel of assessors and will be announced on December 5, 2021 in order to coincide with International Volunteer Day.
